Solar Antifreeze

Sold in 5 or 10 litre bottles.

This antifreeze has been specially formulated for use in solar panels. It is based on propylene glycol blended with corrosion inhibitors. All constituents of this antifreeze are biodegradable, with 90% degradation taking place over first 30 days. This antifreeze has a very low order of oral toxicity and is classified as 'relatively harmless' - therefore, non toxic.

The specialist inhibitors contained in the antifreeze are specifically formulated to withstand high temperatures and have been successfully tested to 300°C for short periods. The inhibitors are formulated to protect those metals commonly found within solar panels, including copper, brass, stainless steel and aluminium. There is also an inhibitor that helps to prevent solids coating heat exchanger surfaces, thus prolonging equipment life and thermal efficiency.

The antifreeze provides excellent frost protection, remaining liquid down to - 50°C depending on the dilution.

This antifreeze should be stored in cool, dry conditions and it is not classed as hazardous for transport or storage purposes.
