1kW (48V) Wind Turbine
The 1kW wind turbine is supplied as a turbine and blades kit and a tower pack. This is because you may not need to purchase the tower if you already have means to support the turbine, e.g. you wish to attach it to an agricultural building. To install this unit you will also need a set of deep cycle batteries, an inverter and a diversion load controller (we can provide all or any as required - see Other Products.
Features of the 1kW Wind Turbine:
- Reliable passive self furling.
- Autobrake slows down the blades when the batteries are charged.
- Marine quality powder coated aluminium body, all stainless steel hardware, water tight housing.
- Iron Boron Neodymium magnet alternator.
- Reliability: The design of the body efficiently disperses excess heat into reducing operating temperature.
- One year warranty; operational life expected to be in excess of 15 years.
- AutoFurl System prevents the blades spinning too fast in high winds.
- Suitable for mounting on the 1kW Tower.

The 1kW turbine and blades kit comprises of the following:
- Rectifier/Regulator.
- Wind turbine body including cabling and bolt for tail.
- Blade hub with 6 bolts and restraining pieces.
- Fin.
- A nose cone.
- Set of 3 blades.

How to increase the battery bank size:
PLEASE NOTE: The above illustration is of a 36V battery system. For the 1kW machine you will need to run a 48V battery bank, so use 4 batteries in series instead of 3.
